When ordering from Daniela’s Home Bakery you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions; these Terms are subject to change without prior notice.
All photos sent to Daniela’s Home Bakery for cake design are used as a guideline only. Due to the bespoke nature of our baking; and copyright issues we do not guarantee a 100% likeness.
Deposits, prices and payment
A non-refundable 50% deposit payable by bank transfer is required for all orders 2 weeks from the date of the order quote. If the order is required in less than 2 weeks then the deposit is required immediately to secure the order.
The balance must either be paid by bank transfer to the account provided at least 2 working days prior to collection/delivery or cash on collection/delivery.
Orders may be collected or delivered at a pre-arranged time. Delivery charges are made outside of Welwyn Garden City and are calculated on a mileage/time basis.
Daniela’s Home Bakery accepts no responsibilty for any damages caused to orders once the goods have left the premises. You will be advised the correct way to transport and store your orders upon collection.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make Daniela’s Home Bakery aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their product.
Please note unless otherwise specified the cakes baked at Daniela’s Home Bakery contain gluten, eggs, and milk. Vegan cupcakes are made using soya milk and soya yoghurt.
Other products sold by Daniela’s such as Fruit & Nut Bars, Protein Balls, Amaretti and Biscotti all contain nuts.
Nuts, soya and sesame are stored separately to baking ingredients, however an environment completely free from these products cannot be guaranteed as it is a home kitchen and they are used almost daily.
Cake Stand Hire
If you would like to hire a cake or cupcake stand, then a cash deposit is required prior to release. It is the client’s responsibility to return the cake stand(s) after hire to Daniela’s Home Bakery within 5 days at a pre-arranged time.
The deposit will not be refunded in the event that the stand is damaged or not returned within 5 days unless other arrangements have been made with Daniela. Once the stand is returned within the given time frame and checked for damages, a refund will be issued to the client.
Cancellation charges will apply – the deposit will be retained if cancelled any time after booking. Any materials that have been sourced for the event upon cancellation will be invoiced to the client.
If you have any concerns about your order, please make this clear upon collection/delivery of the item to allow the opportunity to rectify it in time for your event. All other concerns should be made immediately by email or text message, providing evidence of the fault should be included. Orders may be requested to be returned to Daniela’s Home Bakery for inspection.
All cakes should be consumed within 3 days of collection. We do not guarantee the freshness of the cake after this time. Any issues reported after this period will be invalid.
You will be advised on ‘best before’ or ‘eat by’ dates for other products purchased from Daniela’s Home Bakery on the packaging.
Any refund given for disputes regarding an order are completely at the discretion of Daniela’s Home Bakery and are not automatic. Full refunds will never be given for any cake (or other baked good) which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.
